GYM POLICIES
It is very important to us that all of our members have a great experience each time they visit our facility. As a member of our gym and our family, we want to make sure you are aware of our policies to ensure a great experience for you and each member that walks through our doors everyday. Please review our policies and let us know if you have any questions!

We are a privately owned and operated facility. We reserve the right to refuse service to, or revoke membership from, any person for any reason at any time. Following our policies and being respectful will help ensure this does not happen.

Absolutely NO SOLICITING products or services from outside businesses within our facility or private parking lots without prior consent from owner Josh Pratt.

**PLEASE NOTE THAT OUR POLICIES HAVE UPDATED DUE TO COVID-19**

SIGN IN AT EVERY VISIT

-
All EFT and 3 month or more memberships are provided a key tag. Members with key tags must scan in upon arrival at every visit. If you lose your key card you get one free replacement. If you lose your key more than once, there is a $5 replacement charge so please take care of it.

-
If you were not provided a key card, you must sign in on the clip board on the front desk upon arrival of each workout.
-
We have suspended all trials and day passes until further notice. We are happy to give you a tour of the facility, however you must be a member to workout.
CLEANLINESS IS KEY
-
Always wear clean clothes and deodorant while working out. Excessive body order affects others workouts and may result in us asking you to leave.

-
Clean, closed-top sneakers or athletic shoes are required. No dress shoes, work boots, or sandals are allowed on the gym floor. Dress shoes and boots have a tendency to destroy our floors and equipment, and sandals can be extremely dangerous. During the winter months, we require a change of shoes upon entering the gym. We do everything we can to keep the gym clean for our members, and we need your help to ensure no salt, sand, or snow goes beyond our foyer. If you have been walking around in mud and dirt during the spring or summer months, please clean your shoes before entering the gym. Continued failure to do so will be result in suspension or termination of membership.

-
Be sure to clean up after yourself wherever you are in the facility. Machines, cardio equipment, benches, barbells, etc must be wiped down using the provided gym wipes, all equipment must be put away in its proper spot, and all personal items must be kept on person. If you are not cleaning up after yourself, you may be approached by a staff member or volunteer and asked to clean your area. If you are approached multiple times regarding your cleanliness, we may ask you to leave the facility.

-
We do everything we can to keep our bathrooms clean, however we do need your help to make sure all members have a good experience. If you drop paper towels, toilet paper or trash on the floor, please pick it up and throw it away. If the toilet is clogged, please inform a staff member immediately. If you use the last of the paper towels, toilet paper, or soap, or the trash is overflowing, please inform a staff member immediately. We do not allow any items to be stored at the gym overnight. If anything is left in the facility for more than two days, it will either be donated or thrown out.
-
Our gym is thoroughly cleaned each night after closing. Any personal items left overnight will be discarded.
PARKING OPTIONS
We offer parking in front of the gym and also directly behind the gym in our back lot. If parking in the front, please be sure to park completely in one spot, or if parking along the road park as close to the car next you as possible. If the front lot is full, please make your way to the back of the building. DO NOT BLOCK OUR NEIGHBORS IN. There is plenty of parking, so street parking is not necessary.

If parking in the back lot, please park as close to the car next to you as possible. There is a separate back entrance under the middle overhang that will bring you down a hallway to the foyer of the gym. DO NOT ENTER into the Emergency Exits or the Strongman overhead door.
INJURIES
Any member who incurs an injury or becomes dizzy/ill while in the facility should immediately contact a JPF staff member for assistance. A first aid kit is available at the front desk for minor injuries. In cases requiring more extensive first aid, a JPF staff member will contact the appropriate persons for assistance. It is important that JPF staff is notified of any cases of injury or illness so that proper procedures are followed.
CARDIO EQUIPMENT USAGE
Cardio equipment is first come, first serve. We ask that you please limit your use to 30 minutes if other members are waiting. Always wipe down cardio equipment after use including the handles, screens, and decks if covered in sweat. Do not leave cardio equipment running while not in use. If you are doing interval running, we ask that you use the air runner treadmills. Do not turn off the treadmill when it is at a high speed or elevation. Lower the elevation completely and slow down the treadmill before pressing "Stop".
WEIGHTLIFTING AND POWERLIFTING
-
All members must re-rack their own dumbbells, weights, bars, and cable crossover accessories when finished. Continued failure to abide by this JPF policy may lead to suspension or termination of your membership.

-
Do not excessively slam or drop the weights. Continued failure to abide by this JPF policy may lead to suspension or termination of your membership.

-
Chalk is only permitted in the Powerlifting Room and Strength & Conditioning Room. Chalk is provided in block form and should stay in block form. DO NOT break the chalk up into pieces or crumble into powder form. If you prefer a fine chalk or powder, please bring your own.
INCLEMENT WEATHER & HOLIDAYS
JPF staff make every effort to remain open during inclement weather. There may be times, however, that we decide to close the facility due to weather conditions. If we are closed, please respect our decision and do not come to the gym. We need the lot empty during winter closings in order to clear the lot of snow and ice.

We always update our Facebook page with any closings or schedule changes due to holidays. If you are unsure if we are open, please feel free to give us a call at 860-412-9047.
CELLPHONES
We understand that many people use their cellphones for music and entertainment while working out, as well as to take photos of them, their workouts, or their workout partners. We ask that you do not let the use of your cellphone hinder the workout of any other member. This includes sitting on machines and benches while not using them to use your phone, taking excessive photos and videos, or playing music/videos out loud. If your cellphone use affects the workout of another member, we may ask you to put your cellphone away for the remainder of your workout.
BILLING
-
Whether signing on as an EFT Member or paying in full, always be sure to read through any waivers or paperwork you are signing before joining our facility.

-

-
If you are an EFT member and your monthly payment is returned as insufficient, we will add a $10 return fee on the next time we pull your membership. If you choose to cancel your EFT membership, you will be responsible to pay 75% of your remaining balance.

-
If you sign up for 3 Months, 6 Months, or 1 Year in Full, please keep in mind that we do not offer refunds for early cancellations, nor do we allow members to transfer their contract on to another person.

-
JPF is not responsible for lost or damaged items inside or outside of the facility.
RESPECT
The most important policy in our facility is respect. Respect the equipment and facility, respect fellow members, and respect trainers, volunteers, and management at all times. If you are approached at any time regarding violation of any of the above policies, be respectful and keep in mind that we are a small, privately owned facility. Everything in our facility costs money, and we are here to protect both you and our facility. We reserve the right to refuse service to and suspend or revoke membership from any person at any time for any reason. By becoming at member at JPF, you agree to abide by all of the above policies to the best of your ability and understand that violation of any of the above policies may result in suspension or loss of membership access to our facility.
